Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location – Apapa GRA, Lagos
Salary N150k – N175k
Reports to: Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation to delivery. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Assist in developing project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines.
2. Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
3. Communication: Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and vendors.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
5. Budgeting and Cost Management*: Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, and identify areas for improvement.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
8. Team Support: Provide administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and preparing presentation materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. 2-3 years of experience in project management or a related field.
3. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
6. Proficient in project management software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project.
7. Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is desirable.
Physical and Mental Demands:
1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
2. Ability to sit for extended periods and use computer equipment.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and vendors.
