I. Position Description:
It’s the ICT’s job to plan, organize, and manage an organization’s information Technology resources. They need to have excellent problem-solving and communication skills. They also strive to continuously improve the efficiency and stability of IT systems. The person is responsible for overseeing the computer systems within an organization. They must ensure that the hardware, software, and networks all work together for the business to stay productive.
Additionally, IT Supervisors must stay up to date with advances in technology and assess the best ways to apply these developments to their organization. The individual must act as a go-between for tech professionals and non-technical staff, ensuring all stakeholders understand and collaborate relatively easily.
II. Operational Responsibilities
• Developing plans for information technology needs
• Overseeing software and hardware acquisition
• Creating IT strategies
• Monitoring system performance
• Designing maintenance procedures
• Ensuring data security
• Monitoring daily performance of IT systems, including computers, programs, and networks
• Installing new upgrades for hardware and software
• Troubleshooting problems and increasing overall efficiency
• Developing data backup systems and disaster recovery contingencies
• Staying up to date with new IT developments in the industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
•​At least 5 years of experience in a related role to qualify.
•​A bachelor’s degree or higher certification in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related field.
•​Additional online certifications in subjects like coding, data science, and cloud computing are a plus.
•​Proficiency in computer hardware, software, cabling, installation, networking, and security
•​Team management and leadership skills
•​Multi-tasking and time management skills
•​Budget management and optimization skills
•​Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
•​Microsoft Suite Proficient
•​Call center software and reporting.
•​Network capabilities.
•​VPN experience.
